Born in Poland, MV Melcer has lived in the USA, the Netherlands and Belgium before settling in the UK. A lover of science and science fiction, she debuted in 2023 with Refractions, followed in 2024 by the sequel Inversions, two gripping tales set in a terrifyingly realistic near future.

Born in Poland, M V Melcer grew up reading works of Stanisław Lem before going on to sturdy English literature in Poland and in the USA. She has lived in the Netherlands and Belgium before settling in the UK. An accomplished filmmaker and short fiction writer, Melcer is also studying for a degree in astronomy.

A lover of science and science fiction equally, she uses the genre to explore ideas outside of the constraints of present-day realities. She debuted in 2023 with Refractions, followed in 2024 by the sequel Inversions, two gripping tales set in a terrifyingly realistic near future.
